Processor module xEAP130

The appointment. The processor module xEAP130 is intended for use in terminals, kiosks, game trade slots. Module has a set of standart interfaces SVGA (with pad support), ATA, IDE - 10 / 100 Ethernet, USB, RS - 232 and extension connector for keyboard 8, AC ' 97 audio codec, drivers RS - 232 / 485 and SPI - devices.

The composition. The processor module xEAP130 is executed on the basis of the SoC EP9315 Cirrus Logic (ARM920T, 200MHz). It has following functional sites:

· Boot Flash (Spansion 2xS29GL128M-90) - 32MBytes;

· SDRAM (Samsung 2xK4S5116532) - 128MBytes;

· PHY Ethernet 10/100 (Micrel) - KS8721B;

· Video DAC (Analog Devices) - ADV7123JST240;

· USB Host (USBA-2J) - 2;

· USB Device (USBB-1J) - 1;

· RS-232 (RxD, TxD, #CTS, #RTS) - UART1;

· ATA-IDE (BH-40) - 1;

· User's Connector (PLD2-60) - 1;

· UART2 (RxD, TxD);

· UART3 (RxD, TxD);

· AC'97;

· KEYBOARD 8x8;

· SPI;

LED indicators. The module has six LED indicators.

RDLED	VH1	Indicates the download process. Belongs to hardware reset scheme. Forbidden for user.
GRLED	VH2	Indicates the download process. Allowed for user.
Data Out	VH3	Indicates the data stream transmission through UART1 from the processor to the external device.
Data In	VH4	Indicates the data stream transmission through UART1 to the processor from the external device.
Err USB1	VH5	Indicates consumption current excess by the device attached to USB1.
Err USB2	VH6	Indicates consumption current excess by the device attached to USB2.

Bootstrap. Can be run in two ways: on the serial interface RS-232 through UART1 - jumper XP4 is opened, or from Flash memory - jumper XP4 is closed.

Memory allocaton. Flash memory address space starts with 0x60000000 through line #CS6. Line #CS0 (Boot external) is not used. SDRAM memory address space starts with 0xC0000000 through line #SDCS0.

The processor module comes with a minimal test firmware to determine capacity for work of the processor and Flash/SDRAM memory. On the power up time and closed jumper XP4, the LED indicator «GRLED» VH2 begin to blink on a frequency 1Hz…2Hz. Pressing the hardware reset button S turns the LED indicator to the alight state.

Cost.

Cost of the componentry of an individual unit lies in the range from 125$ to 180$.
